Nutcracker

I surprised the girls with tickets to the Nutcracker. It was a girls night out. No boys allowed. I think they loved that part more than the show. They had a great time and loved every part. I thought they might fall asleep, at least Hailey because we had a long day, but they stayed awake the entire time. I think they fell asleep in about 3 minutes after we got into the van.
Elsie, Hailey, and Ellie.

Kim, Elsie, Me, Hailey, and Ellie. Hailey does not look so happy. I think Ellie and just pushed her. We had a great time.

Tree Trouble

I just wanted to share the reason my tree will not stay decorated!!!!
Sam takes off all the ordainments and brings them to me!!!

I used to put them back on the tree, know I am just collecting them in a basket. So I guess he is doing his part to help me take down the tree!!! He just so cute....its hard to get mad!

Ginger Bread Houses

We made our annual houses with some friends. Elise and Hailey in the process of decorating.
Ellie was so happy and excited to decorate. She is getting so big I only had to help her spread a little frosting and then she didn't want anymore help, which is so nice!!!

Sam and Me by some of our creations. He keep trying to steal the candy. All of our friends are so nice and helpful with him! He is a busy little boy!!

Ellie, Hailey, Elise, Gavin and Lincoln posing in front of their houses. Check out those little boys they have massive amounts of candy on their houses!!

Ellie and Hailey. I have to catch them in their kind moments to one another!!

Caldwell Light Parade

Ellie, Sam, and Hailey trying to stay warm at the Caldwell Light Parade.
Ellie was a little grumpy because she was cold. David is trying to warm her and her spirits!

Hailey was so happy and was loving all the lights. A little girl about her same size walking in the parade with the YMCA came up to Hailey and gave her a Cat in the Hat book. That is all she has talked about today was her best friend that gave her a book. She keeps saying she was so cute and told me, "Merry Christmas."

Sam trying to stay warm. It is such an easy guy to take anywhere. He just chilled in the stroller the entire time and watched the lights!

The girls loved this float. It had a princess on it so it was golden. The horse and carriage are actually made from horse shoes and it is usually outside Snickerdoodles a home decor store that is awesome!

BSU vs. USU

Me and Dave all bundled up at the game. It actually wasn't that bad. When we first got to our seats after our long walk I was pretty hot. By the end of half it was getting pretty cold. We had left our house in such a hurry we forgot a blanket and then remembered we had bought an orange blanket on black Friday that was in our stow and go. Boy, I was so happy Dave saw that and crabbed it....it literally saved our behinds!! I try to go to one game a year....so off course I chose the Aggie game but next year I think I will try to catch an earlier game so I won't freeze!! It's always fun to be together...so it was good!
Aggies with the ball. Had to take a quick picture because it didn't happen very often. I do love my Aggies and they have come a long way in the past couple of years. They really did play pretty good. What do I know.....I act like I know football. I don't. But to me it seemed like they had a few good plays and played hard.

Saw this on the way out. Thought to myself.....wow did you come directly from milking the cows and thought I'm just going to go with it??

I will be making one of these treasures for David to wear next season. I will substitute diet coke. AMAZING!!!

Christmas Tree

Our family tradition is the first Monday after Thanksgiving to go and get a tree. I grew up with a fake tree so I fought it at first....but after a few years...I love it. It smells so good. You don't have one other thing to store. It so fun to pick the perfect tree.
Ellie actually picked this tree and I love it!!

The tree on top of our really dirty van from the drive home from Utah. We drank egg nog and listened to Christmas music and decorated our tree. Actually our tree has been re decorated everyday since it has been up. Sam will grab a bulb and bring it to me. Hailey is almost as bad. Today she started taking the bulbs off and was lining them up on the couch. It's going to be a long month!

Snow Day

On Wednesday we had a big snow storm and school was cancelled. The girls were so excited to go outside and play and build a snowman! Elise and Hailey starting on the snowman.

Ellie made this snowman all by herself. She was so proud of it.

Me and the girls by our finished product!

We made a BYU and BSU snowman. They seemed happy even after a rough football weekend for both teams!

Trying to get Home

On our way home from Utah there had been a big storm on Sunday and the road was closed so we decided to come on Monday. Well when we got to a certain section on I-84 just passed the Idaho line the road was still closed. We were stopped in traffic for 1 hour and 45 minutes!!!!!
David and Sam quite chipper to be stuck.

This is the road behind us!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were stuck!!!! No where to go!!!!

Ellie and Hailey finally got out of the van and started playing in the snow to pass the time.

Me and Hailey patiently waiting!! NOT!! Right after this picture David said were moving and through Hailey in and off we went. We were all happy to finally get on with our time. Our normal drive time is about 5 hours and it took us about 7 1/2 hours!!!!! Don't ever want to repeat that again.

Thanksgiving 2010

This is Elizabeth (David's sister) with her turkey creation! It was almost too cute to eat...almost.
We ate dinner at David's sister house, Brenda in Tremonton. All of David's 6 siblings and their kids were there. I think about 37 of us!!!

Ellie, Ruby and Erika. These girls love being together. I wish we lived closer!

Erika, Ruby, Ellie, Wyatt, and Marcus eating at Cafe Rio. It was so fun to sit back and watch them talk and play together. They are all such good kids.

Ellie and Hailey practing there smiles before our family pictures. Hailey did not smile in our last family pictures and she told me she would this time. It looks like she is in a pit of pain. She did a pretty good job.

This picture has not been edited and was a quick picture of David's parents and all their grandchildren. Can you imagine it?

1st Grade Thanksgiving Parade

Ellie getting ready for the parade to begin!
Close up picture of Ellie's float. She was so proud of it!

Ellie, Owen, and Mac.

Ellie's teacher, Ms. Ego! She is an awesome teacher!
Another first grade teacher, Ms. Cash. She is really nice!

At Ellie's school they held a first annual Thanksgiving Parade. They decorated shoe boxes that had been covered with paper and pulled them with a string down every hall in the school. The older kids watched and Santa came at the end and gave out candy. The first graders had earned a PJ day by collecting cans for the food bank. So it made it extra cute they all had bonnets and hats on with their pj's. Ellie's float had a very holiday theme. We got some things from Michaels and painted them at home and then she took them to school. She was very proud of her float.

Sunday Pictures/New Calling

Ok. Is he cute or what! Sam is sixteen months old. He is such a joy!! Two more months till Nursery...which will be such a relief. He is a busy little boy!

This is not the greatest pictures of the girls. Hailey refuses to look at the camera.
Today at church I was released from the Primary Presidency. I had been in for almost 2 1/2 years. I remember being so scared to do sharing time (this was my first time serving in primary) and now I am so sad to leave. I know that my time in Primary was for me to learn so many things. My testimony has been strengthened and I have been blessed for my service. It was an emotional day but we made it. My new calling is in Relief Society helping with Homemaking. I am not really sure what I will be doing but I'm sure I will love it!

No More Tree

My cute Sam loves to be outside!
Out tree used to be as big as our neighbors you can see in the picture.

Ellie being silly. She loves doing a project with her Dad!

So I took Hailey to the dentist on Saturday late afternoon and when I came home I found David in the front yard sitting by a large stump. He was talking about trimming our front tree because it was getting out of control big and growing on our house...but he got a little wild hair and cut the entire tree down. I was in shock. It was a little late and the trick or treaters were coming so a couple of our good neighbors helped David take care of most of the tree.
